Qualifications

• Experience in medical front desk, medical receptionist, or patient services.
• Able to work in a fast-paced medical office.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Attention to detail and documentation.
• Comfortable communicating with patients by phone and in person.
• Understands accurate insurance/demographic information.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

• Familiar with EMR/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a professional check-in/check-out experience.
• Answer and route incoming calls.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments.
• Verify/update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect copays and balances as appropriate.
• Scan and maintain patient documentation.
• Document patient communications and telephone encounters.
• Communicate with providers, staff, billing, and others.
• Monitor schedules and maintain patient flow.
• Respond to patient questions professionally.
• Protect patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed.
