Job summary

Sylvania is seeking dedicated bilingual paraprofessionals to support a Dual Language program in Illinois.

You will assist in classrooms under the supervision of certified instructors, supervising areas such as classrooms, washrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required.
• Paraprofessional license required or eligible.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and instructional support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of instructional materials and bi-literacy approach.
• Supervise students and assist teachers in daily instructional activities.
• Maintain accurate records on student progress.
• Participate in staff development activities as directed by contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Description

We are seeking dedicated Bilingual (Spanish) Paraprofessionals to join our Dual Language program. The successful candidates will assist in classroom settings under the supervision of certified instructors. Responsibilities include supervising various areas such as classrooms, washrooms, playgrounds, before and after school, as well as general oversight of the cafeteria, library, hallways, and other instructional settings within our dual-language classrooms. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation andadoption of instructional materials and bi-literacy approach.
• Assist with the supervision,instruction of students as directed; assist the teacher with all aspects of the daily instructional program
• Assist with the maintenance of accurate records on student progress.
• Participates in staff development activities as directed by contract.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by administration.

Hours

35 hours a week, 7 hours a day- Elementary Schools 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a 30 minute duty free lunch
