The position requires a Master’s degree or higher, 18 graduate hours in Math, and a valid Texas teaching certificate.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
A minimum of 18 graduate hours in Math from a recognized, accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned
[Physical Education Teachers: Must be willing to obtain and maintain a current automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR certificate]

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect district curriculum requirements and show preparation.
Plan and use instructional strategies and materials to meet students' diverse learning needs.
Work with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs and district requirements.
Establish and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and positive behavior.
Communicate with parents, students, and colleagues to support student growth and achievement.
Participate in staff development, meetings, and committee work as required.
Direct the work of instructional aides, if assigned.
