Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Sonographer to join Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS. This position supports echocardiography and vascular testing with day shifts and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include performing stress echocardiography, preparing patients, and assisting physicians with imaging and reports. Minimal experience required, RDCS or RVT certification preferred, BLS/CPR current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required. New grads encouraged to apply.
• Credentialed or eligible for certification in Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) and Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS)
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography and stress echocardiography.
• Perform vascular testing.
• Retrieve patient from waiting room and obtain necessary vital signs.
• Prep patient, provide patient instruction and perform tests.
• Obtain post-exercise images and process reports.
• Identify pathology and obtain appropriate measurements and/or additional views to assist in interpretation.
• Carry out the immediate requests of all physicians.
• Provide supervisor accurate and timely information regarding patient care issues that cause concern.
• Inform supervisor regarding needed repairs on departmental equipment.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
