Job summary

Avports is seeking a Senior Facilities Supervisor to lead maintenance for Cyril E. King (STT) and Henry E. Rohlsen (STX) airports in the USVI.

You will supervise maintenance teams, oversee preventive programs, coordinate capital projects, and ensure regulatory readiness while maintaining safety and reliability of terminal, airfield, and utility systems. You will partner with leadership, operations, tenants, and regulators to respond to emergencies and weather events, manage budgets, and maintain

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibility in airport, aviation, transportation, industrial, municipal, or comparable infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting FAA Part 139 compliance, maintenance programs, capital projects, and contractor management.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, engineering specifications, schematics, and O&M manuals.
• AAAE Certified Member (C.M.) or Airport Certified Employee (A.C.E.) preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security credentials and SIDA badge.
• Pass required background investigations and driving record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager in overseeing airport maintenance programs across STT and STX facilities.
• Lead and supervise Facilities Supervisors, custodial teams, skilled trades, technicians, and contractors.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance programs, work schedules, operating procedures, and response plans.
• Support FAA Part 139 compliance activities and environmental initiatives.
• Monitor contracts, vendor performance, and capital improvement projects for quality and compliance.
• Oversee troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and airfield systems; maintain records and budgets.
• Collaborate with operations, tenants, contractors, utilities, and regulators to ensure continuity and resilience.
