Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking energetic professionals to install, service, and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home technology in customer homes. You will train on industry-leading products and explain system capabilities to customers, while managing inventory and driving revenue from service appointments.

We value a sales mindset, a customer-first attitude, and technical aptitude. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; reside within 20 miles of the city.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and troubleshoot smart home technology in customer homes.

A Sales Mindset:Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.

Customer First Attitude:Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.

Technical Aptitude:Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but notrequired.

Requirements:A valid driver’s license,a good drivingrecord, andreliable transportation; ability to successfully pass post-offer background investigation and licensing requirements per applicable law;must live within a 20-mile radius of the city.

Physical Requirements of the Role:

The successful candidate must be able to safely perform the following essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Climb and descend extension and step ladders with tools and equipment on a repeated basis

Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds frequently

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold

Enter and perform work in attics:

Temperatures may exceed 110°F for short periods

Openings can be as small as 16” x 30” of 18” x 24”

Crawling, kneeling, crouching, awkward postures may be required for up to 60 minutes at a time

Maintaining 3-points of contact while navigating or traversing across trusses without stepping on drywall in between

Operate a company vehicle repeatedly

Perform work while standing for extended periods

Perform computer and telephone work while seated as needed
