ROLE HIGHLIGHTS

The Direct to Film (DTF) Production Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the DTF printing department to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality output. This position is responsible for supervising DTF staff, supervising workflow, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety and quality standards. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, in-depth technical knowledge of DTF printing processes, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational excellence and team performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee day-to-day DTF printing operations, including scheduling, workflow, and timely order fulfillment.
  • Operate and maintain DTF printers and related equipment; perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
  • Inspect prints for color, placement, and quality; address defects before orders move to the next stage.
  • Support, train, and coach print operators to ensure consistency and adherence to production standards.
  • Track and replenish inventory of DTF supplies (film, ink, powder) to prevent downtime.
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements that reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Communicate with fulfillment and customer service to resolve job-specific questions or production issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the print process.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE COMPUTER SKILLS

High school diploma or equivalent required, with at least 3 years of experience in digital or large-format printing, preferably involving DTF or similar garment printing technologies.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with a solid understanding of file setup and color management.
  • Able to quickly learn new equipment, RIP software, and production systems
