Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Experience
- Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience: maintain in-store experience by modeling Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behaviors and redirecting associate behaviors to achieve store goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Respond to customer and associate requests or feedback with a high sense of urgency.
- Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards. Complete all tasks related to daily open/close including store cleaning, recovery and maintenance standards.
- Review daily communication; plan and assign tasks throughout the day and follow through with required actions.
Customer Service & Store Operations
- Meet metric-based goals by reviewing, understanding and clearly communicating daily progress. Communicate business trends to leadership.
- Complete processes related to audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, etc.
- Work closely with the store leadership team to understand and follow all policies and procedures.
Inventory & Digital Services
- Participate in inventory activities including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and MOOS.
- Assist with omni-channel activities such as Charge/Send and BOPIS.
- Communicate supply needs to ensure successful operations.
Customer Safety & Team Support
- Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates. Regularly check equipment.
- Address associate and customer concerns promptly.
- Support payroll and timekeeping activities.
- Provide feedback on associate performance and communicate issues to Store Manager.
Team Engagement
- Recognize associates through company tools.
- Support training and coaching.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Excellent customer service, professionalism, positivity, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and hold team accountable.
- Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts outside traditional hours.
- Proficiency with technology (Register, Keyboard, iPhone, Calculator).
- Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl regularly.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of workforce experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
