Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

  • Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
  • Share the benefits of the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Loyalty program and enroll new members.
  • Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to the customer having a consistent positive experience:

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including clearing trash, cleaning the store, and organizing stockrooms.
  • Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor per standards, complete markdowns, and maintain stockroom organization.

Leverage in-store and digital services to bring the power of shoes to life:

  • Complete fulfillment functions including locating items, inspecting, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
  • Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.

Prioritize customer needs:

  • Process transactions accurately, follow policies, and partner with the CEL for escalated issues.

Bring energy and fun:

  • Participate in team meetings and training, be receptive to feedback, and support an inclusive team environment.

Required Skills:

  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Professional, friendly, customer-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology (registers, iPhone, calculator).
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 100%, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical activities regularly.
