Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience: Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
• Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
• Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment: Keep the shopping area, cash wrap, and stockroom tidy, clean, and safe, including trash removal, cleaning mirrors, and restrooms, vacuuming, and housekeeping as needed.
• Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor according to standards, complete markdowns, and organize the stockroom.
• Leverage in-store and digital services: Complete fulfillment functions, locate items, inspect product condition, and ensure readiness for pickup/delivery.
• Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers with ordering.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Customer service excellence: Handle transactions accurately, operate the register, partner with leadership for escalated issues, and follow asset protection policies.
• Bring energy and teamwork: Participate in team meetings, be open to coaching, and support inclusivity.

• Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of shift and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Experience:

• No previous retail experience required.
