Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

  • Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
  • Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
  • Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to providing a positive customer experience:

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including clearing trash, cleaning, and organizing the store and stockroom.
  • Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor, complete markdowns, and maintain standards.

Leverage in-store and digital services:

  • Complete fulfillment functions, locate items, inspect products, package, and label for pickup/delivery.
  • Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Prioritize customer service:

  • Process transactions accurately, operate registers, and partner with leadership for escalated issues.
  • Follow asset protection policies.

Bring energy and teamwork:

  • Participate in team meetings and training.
  • Be receptive to coaching and demonstrate inclusivity.

Required Skills:

  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Professional, friendly, customer-focused attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient in using technology (register, iPhone, calculator).
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of the time.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.

Experience:

  • No previous retail experience required.
