Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:
- Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
- Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
- Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.
Be committed to ensuring the customer has a consistent positive experience:
- Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for both internal and external customers, including clearing trash, cleaning the store, and organizing stockrooms.
- Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor per DSW standards, complete markdowns, and maintain the stockroom.
Leverage in-store and digital services to bring the power of shoes to life:
- Complete fulfillment functions including locating items, inspecting products, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
- Use company tools to search product availability and assist customers.
Put the customer first:
- Complete transactions following company policies, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Partner with the CEL for escalated customer issues.
- Follow all asset protection policies.
Bring fun and energy to your work:
- Participate in team meetings and training.
- Be receptive to coaching and feedback.
- Support teamwork and inclusivity.
Required Skills:
- Availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Professional, friendly, and customer service-oriented.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient with technology (registers, iPhone, calculator).
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
