Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

  • Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
  • Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
  • Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to the customer having a consistent positive experience:

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including cleaning, organizing, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Receive inbound freight, prepare, and display merchandise according to DSW standards, and maintain stockroom organization.

Leverage in-store and digital services:

  • Complete fulfillment functions such as locating items, inspecting, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
  • Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Prioritize customer service:

  • Process transactions accurately, operate the register, and partner with leadership for escalated issues.
  • Follow asset protection policies.

Bring energy and teamwork:

  • Participate in team meetings and training, be receptive to feedback, and support inclusivity.
Required Skills:
  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology (Register, iPhone, Calculator).
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of the time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
Experience:
  • No prior retail experience required.

The estimated pay range is $17.55 to $18.55, based on various factors including experience, location, and organizational needs. Benefits are not included unless legally mandated. For more details, click here.
