General Summary

The Store Associate provides friendly service to customers shopping in-store and through omni-channel services. They assess customer needs and assist by executing the company's customer service model, always prioritizing the customer. Store Associates perform salesfloor and warehouse functions, including assisting customers, merchandise placement, completing transactions, processing shipments, cleaning, and maintenance. They demonstrate behaviors aligned with company values, act as brand ambassadors, and are responsible for the end-to-end experience from online to store. Compliance with policies and procedures is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly, assess needs, and provide personalized service.
  • Share and enroll customers in the DSW Loyalty program.
  • Assist with product questions and complete transactions, both in-store and online.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment, including cleaning and organizing the store and stockroom.
  • Receive freight, prepare merchandise, and maintain standards.
  • Complete fulfillment functions, locate and inspect products, and ensure readiness for pickup/delivery.
  • Handle customer transactions accurately, operate registers, and partner with the CEL for escalations.
  • Follow asset protection policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and training, support inclusivity, and respond to coaching.

  • Proficiency with store technology (register, iPhone, calculator).
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 100%, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
Experience
  • No prior retail experience required.
Compensation

The pay range is $15.75 to $16.75, based on various factors including experience, location, and organizational needs. Benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement may be available depending on the role and location.
