Job summary

Contra Costa Community College District is seeking an Adjunct Counselor for the Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS) for Spring 2027. This temporary, part-time assignment focuses on specialized academic, career, personal, and disability management counseling for students with disabilities.

The DSPS Counselor will help with ADA/Title V compliance, develop education plans, coordinate services, and collaborate with faculty to ensure equal access and student success, while engaging in

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling or related field required.
• Experience in counseling students with disabilities and ADA/Title V knowledge.
• Ability to develop Educational Plans and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, career, and personal counseling to students with disabilities.
• Determine disability verification through documentation analysis.
• Coordinate accommodations and liaise with instructors for disability-related needs.
• Develop individualized educational plans and authorize accommodations.
• Support compliance with Title V and ADA and participate in reporting and program review.
