Job summary

Living Innovations in Newport, ME is seeking a DSP Team Lead to mentor direct support staff and coordinate care for individuals with IDD. You will split time between hands-on support and providing oversight that helps our DSPs excel, while fostering a positive, person-centered environment.

You will lead community integration efforts, plan meaningful activities, and ensure health, safety and the quality of service plans.

Qualifications

• Must have a patient, caring and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with individuals with IDD.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach DSPs; serve as the go-to resource for training and support.
• Drive community integration by creating opportunities for individuals to engage locally.
• Plan person-centered activities and help groups and individuals achieve personal goals.
• Oversee health, safety and well-being; guide service plan implementation.
• Foster collaborative leadership between families, caregivers and the DSP team.
