Job summary

Med Plus Staffing in Coraopolis, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in IDD/ICF settings. You will promote independence, follow care plans, and help with daily living activities while maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Age 18+.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1+ years in relevant roles or caregiving.
• Health: physician/cRNP-signed physical and TB documentation; COVID-19 vaccination or religious exemption.
• Clearance: PA CWIS Abuse Registry.
• Background: pass background checks and facility requirements.
• Skills: communication, patience, reliability, and following care plans.
• Training: fire safety training before first shift.

Responsibilities

• Support independence toward personal goals and life skills.
• Follow Individual Support Plans and facility instructions.
• Promote engagement in activities and community involvement.
• Assist with daily living needs, personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Observe and report mood, health changes, and needs.
• Maintain safety and dignity in all interactions.
