Akina Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a senior DSP software engineer to design and implement high-throughput DSP algorithms for low-SNR and adaptive modulation scenarios. You will modify software/firmware to meet government needs and explain models clearly for team reuse.

Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, seven years in DSP, C++, Linux, and Python, and a relevant BS (MS potential). Competitive compensation and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Formal training in, or demonstrated proficiency with C++/Linux.
• Seven (7) years experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development language.
• Seven (7) years experience as a DSP Algorithm developer on projects with similar software processes.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline in DSP from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of RF Software or equivalent experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• May substitute two (2) years of experience with MS in Engineering/CS.
• May substitute four (4) years of additional DSP experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software.
• Focus on high throughput exploitation of signals with low SNR and adaptive modulations.
• Modify existing software/firmware to meet Government needs.
• Explain developed models clearly to team members for reuse.
