Job summary

EFJohnson Technologies in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a DSP Software Engineer to join a dedicated software team responsible for EFJohnson radio product lines. You will develop and maintain DSP software in embedded or application environments while adhering to the product life cycle.

The role emphasizes C/C++ and MATLAB proficiency, knowledge of P25, Trunking, DMR protocols, and the ability to collaborate across engineering groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with DSP software development for radio products.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++.
• Knowledge of P25, Smartnet/Smartzone, and DMR protocols.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DSP software for EFJohnson radio product lines.
• Learn and implement P25 Trunking, Smartnet/Smartzone, and DMR protocols.
• Develop requirements and protocol documents for new and existing products.
• Establish and maintain good inter/intra departmental communication.
• Respond to special assignments with urgency and integrity.
• Collaborate with other teams to meet schedules and deliverables.
