Job summary

EFJohnson Technologies is seeking a DSP Software Engineer in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will develop and maintain DSP software for EFJohnson subscriber radios and encryption products, following the Product Life Cycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink skills, and a good grasp of P25/DMR protocols. Travel up to 10% is expected; a collegial, mission-driven environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DSP software EFJohnson’s subscriber radio product lines in an embedded or applications environment.
• Learn and implement P25 Trunking, Smartnet/Smartzone, and DMR communication protocols in accordance to industry standards.
• Develop requirements and protocol documents for new and existing products.
• Establish and maintain good inter/intra departmental communication.
• Respond to special assignments/projects as directed by management, with an attitude and willingness conducive to getting the job done.
• Exhibit desirable and appropriate professional behavior including leadership, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, ability to get along with others, creative thinking and personal integrity to provide for a cohesive, productive business unit dedicated to the achievement of corporate goals.
