Job summary

Unisity, LLC is seeking an RF Software Engineer L3 to design, develop and lead DSP-centric software in a Linux environment from Annapolis Junction, MD. The role emphasizes real-time analytics, large data handling and system integration.

You will mentor teams and drive performance-focused software across multi-discipline projects. Required twelve years in DSP algorithm development with C++, Linux, and Python; a BS in engineering or CS is required, MS preferred.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years' experience as a DSP Algorithm developer.
• Twelve (12) years' experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development language.
• C++ work must be in the last ten (10) years.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• May substitute four (4) years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
• May substitute two (2) years' experience with a Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project.
• Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.
