Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) Brenham State Supported Living Center is seeking a Direct Support Professional IV to coordinate campus shift activities and ensure facility-wide staff coverage. The role requires supervising direct care staff, monitoring multiple sites, and responding to incidents with initiative.

The position is full-time, not eligible for telework, and offers a salary range of approximately $4,094.50 to $5,094.16 per month with a monthly pay frequency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) preferred; two years’ related experience.
• Experience in supervisory or lead roles within care settings is desirable.
• Ability to coordinate staff coverage and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee staff coverage across shifts and campus.
• Monitor homes, infirmary, activity centers and grounds for incidents.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and supervise staff as needed.
• Serve as first responder for incidents and escalate appropriately.
