Job summary

InReach needs a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young male with Developmental Disabilities in the Waxhaw, NC area. The role includes in-home living assistance, community integration, and transportation to activities. This is an Independent Contractor position with 1099 arrangements.

Hours are approx 15 per week, with potential to grow to 28 hours when school starts. Pay is per hour ($20.35/hr and $17.00/hr) with a flexible evening/weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Help individual develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Transport and accompany to day programs, work sites, and community activities.
