Job summary

ViaQuest Healthcare Central is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in our ICF settings. The role includes ensuring health and safety, promoting independence, and contributing to a stable living environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest criteria.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and may require climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching.
• Experience in developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence, choice, and safety.
• Administer site training to new hires.
• Assist with shift coverage as needed.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Complete household tasks such as meal prep and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Administering site training to new hires.
• Assisting with shift coverage as needed.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
