Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with identified needs pursue their goals through person-centered care. The role offers a starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with potential to increase to $18.50 after six months of consistent employment, and a shift from 7a to 3p.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required; training provided.
• Comfort with basic computer use to document care.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Valid driver''s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation.
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
• Advocate for people''s rights, needs, and preferences.
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report changes as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
