DSP Engineer

Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a skilled engineer to design and implement DSP algorithms for in-the-home and portable audio devices. You will work with Bluetooth audio, voice assist­ants, 3D spatial audio and noise reduction techniques to deliver enhanced customer experiences.

Collaborating with acoustics and hardware teams, you will tune products for top audio performance and shepherd features from exploration to production through multiple development phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Signal Processing related degree.
• MS degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in real-time embedded DSP implementation in constrained target platforms for consumer products.
• Demonstrated experience in audio and speech processing such as AEC, noise reduction, speech enhancement, mic array processing or 3D audio.
• Exposure to acoustics and acoustic measurements.
• Experience with basic audio lab equipment as well as knowledge and exposure to basic hardware design.
• Proficiency in one or more high-level languages like C, C++, Python or Matlab.
• Ability to evaluate and integrate 3rd party algorithms and perform "make vs. buy" analysis.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex technical issues with experts in other fields.
• Experience with Bluetooth audio products and an understanding of their advantages and limitations.
