Job summary

Autism Delaware is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with autism in New Castle County, Delaware, across community-based day services and residential settings.

You will build positive relationships, promote independence, and help participants engage in employment, social, and recreational activities while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18+ years old with ability to pass background checks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships with individuals with autism.
• Advocate for community integration and independence.
• Follow Person-Centered Plans as a mentor and role model.
• Support employment, social, and recreational activities.
• Monitor progress, document behaviors, and report concerns.
• Collaborate with a team to provide holistic support.
