Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community. The role emphasizes person-centered care, safety, and dignity in every interaction.

You will deliver daily living support, foster independence, implement BSP-driven plans, and accompany clients to appointments, with a focus on preserving rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of behavioral support plans (BSPs) and home care practices.
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs.
• Proficient in tracking goals and implementing individualized support strategies.
• Strong understanding of individual rights, person-centered advocacy, and HIPAA compliance.
• Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and access to your own reliable transportation.
• Prior experience as a DSP
• Client prefers male staff
• Must have own vehicle that is either all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.
• Must be able to drive up a mountain in the winter.
