Job summary

ViaQuest is hiring Behavioral Support Specialists (DSP) in Medina, Ohio, offering direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this role is provided in full, with no prior experience required, and the position features varied schedules and opportunities for growth.

Paid training includes CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration. A benefits package and 401k are available for full-time staff, plus PTO, annual pay increases, and a referral bonus

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio drivers license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and to climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety at all times.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety sono experience is required.
