Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Plantation, FL is seeking a DSP Software Engineering intern to help design and implement real-time DSP software for our wireless products. You will work in an Agile/Scrum team and contribute to low level drivers and device firmware alongside experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS or MS in CS, Software Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering, with knowledge of C/C++, DSP fundamentals, and exposure to Linux.

Department Overview

The global Digital Signal Processing (DSP) team is responsible for architecting, designing and developing real-time software for digital communications and audio for Motorola Solutions worldwide portfolio two-way radio products. The team is responsible for delivering Audio and RF Signal Processing Software and has ownership of all Applications Processor DSP subsystems, including Audio Management.

Job Description

This position is for a DSP Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida. We are looking for engineers with a strong interest in DSP and embedded systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers.

Knowledge of fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communication Experience in C/C++ is a plus Knowledge of Machine Learning is a plus Experience with, Matlab, Python, Perl is a plus Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus Experience using version control; Git is a plus Experience with Linux is a plus Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus.

Basic Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in one of the following programs : Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering.
