ViaQuest Day & Employment Services in Painesville, OH is seeking a DSP: Day Program Aide for a full-time, Mon-Fri 1st shift at $17.75 per hour. Training is provided in full; no prior experience required.

You will help individuals with developmental disabilities maintain health and safety, promoting independence and personal choice. Responsibilities include supervising and assisting in daily activities, transporting clients in a company van, and supporting community outings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and MV record meeting criteria.

At ViaQuest Day & Employment Services we provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in its entirety. No experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GEDrequired
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
