Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services in Geneva Township, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Direct Care Worker for our Day Program. Training is provided in full, so no prior experience is required.

The position serves individuals with developmental disabilities, supporting health, safety and independence. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean MVR, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Able to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily living.
• Transport individuals between home and Day Program using a company van.
• Participate in community outings with transportation and assistance.

At ViaQuest Day & Employment Services we provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
