ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Newark, Ohio to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence while ensuring health and safety.

The role includes supervising and assisting with personal care, completing household tasks like meal preparation, and participating in a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including training, medical/dental/vision, PTO, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable vehicle to transport individuals.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest criteria.
• Able to push/lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence and ensure health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of life.
• Completing household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
