Job summary

Advance Kids is seeking a Direct Service Professional to support adults in our Orangevale residential crisis program. You will respond to crisis behaviors, assist with daily living skills, coordinate outings and medications, and help maintain a safe home environment.

The role requires weekend availability, a high school diploma, a California driver’s license, and the ability to obtain an RBT certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and displaying severe verbal and physical behaviors.
• Availability to work every weekend.
• Be able to work in California locations: Shingle Springs, Orangevale, Rio Linda, Elverta.
• Shifts include 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, or 10:00 pm - 6:00 am.
• Willingness to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and displaying severe verbal and physical behaviors
• Availability to work every weekend
• Ability to work in one of the following locations in California: Shingle Springs, Orangevale, Rio Linda, & Elverta
• Availability to work one of the following shifts each week: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (AM), 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (PM), 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (NOC)
• Willingness to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90-days of hire

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed
• Ability to perform physical aspects of residential care and crisis response

Compensation

• $23 - $26/hour
