DSHS WSH Registered Nurse 2 — Western State Hospital is inviting Registered Nurses to join our nursing team. Responsibilities

Some of what you'll do In this role, you'll develop, lead, document, and direct the clinical care carried out by professional and paraprofessional nursing personnel in compliance with applicable nursing standards of care and practice. This involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients' medical and psychiatry needs with a focus on providing the highest patient-focused quality care possible. You're the liaison between our patients and their families to educate them in regard to the treatment plan. Our new team member should be a great communicator, developing long-term therapeutic relationships with our patients.

Qualifications
  • Professionals with a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse or have the ability to obtain a valid Washington State license by the start of employment
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred but not required
Additional information
  • Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs
  • Evening and Night shifts include shift differential pay in addition to the standard compensation rate
  • Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary
