DSHS Lakeland Village - Attendant Counselor 1/CNA/NAC

Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center’s Nursing Facility has immediate openings for CNAs/NACs on all shifts. In this role, you’ll provide essential care and support in a homelike setting, working with a dedicated team that shares your passion for helping others. As advocates, companions, and mentors, our Nursing Assistants build meaningful careers by helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Located just 25 minutes southwest of downtown Spokane, in the welcoming town of Medical Lake, Lakeland Village offers more than just a job—it offers community. Some of what you will do:
  • Support residents with daily living activities, including self-care, therapeutic exercises, recreation, and social skills.
  • Provide personal hygiene and care assistance for both male and female residents.
  • Take and report vital signs accurately.
  • Assist with meal preparation, follow prescribed diets by identifying appropriate food and liquid textures, and help feed residents as needed.
  • Observe and document changes in residents’ behavior, physical condition, or potential medical and psychological concerns.
  • Safely reposition and transfer residents using modern equipment and a collaborative, team-based approach.

Who should apply?
Professionals with:
  • A High School Diploma/GED, OR one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • A current Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) from the State of Washington, or the willingness and ability to complete our onsite NAC training and pass the Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification Exam.

Not a CNA/NAC?
We’ll train you! If you’re passionate about healthcare and supporting individuals with disabilities, we offer a no-cost Nursing Assistant Certification Program for full-time employees.


Additional Information:
  • Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate.
  • Opportunities performed on site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
