An established industry player is seeking a dedicated CDL Truck Driver 2 for local driving at the Western State Hospital campus. Our drivers operate medium to large trucks, buses, and special vehicles between 28,000 GVW and 60,000 GVW to safely deliver food, laundry, furniture, and supplies. Operation of vehicles such as trash/recycle trucks, street sweepers, forklifts, fleet cars, and seasonal snow equipment is also possible. You will load, unload, and transport freight, mail, and packages using various equipment. You will also transport staff safely throughout the campus and on off-campus day trips, assisting patients as needed. Daily responsibilities include safety inspections, fueling, maintaining logs, and cleaning vehicles.
The schedule for this job is Thursday-Monday, 5:30 am - 2:00 pm. Pierce County employees are eligible for an Orca Card for transportation needs.
