Job description

DSHS Licensed Practical Nurse 2 or Licensed Vocational Nurse

Join our team at Eastern State Hospital, where we offer various shift work opportunities for Licensed Practical Nurses. Your role is essential in improving the quality of life for individuals with behavioral health issues, supporting their recovery journey.

Evening and night shift LPNs receive a $2.50/hour shift differential on top of their base pay, starting at Step L. Employees working on-site at least three days a week may also qualify for an additional 5% premium pay.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing patient care and ensuring safety for individuals experiencing behavioral health issues
  2. Exchanging important clinical information during shift changes
  3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  4. Completing medication orders and maintaining electronic documentation in Pyxis
  5. Implementing security policies and procedures
  6. Educating patients on their care and treatment
  7. Assisting with moving, transferring, de-escalating situations, and escorting or transporting patients as needed
Qualifications:
