Job description

DSHS Supported Employment – Office Assistant 2

This job is within the Supported Employment in State Government (SESG) Program. The person selected must be eligible for the SESG Program and meet the required qualifications. It is an in-person opportunity at Pacific Tower, accessible by public transit, with parking available.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay and are eligible for a free ORCA card.

Some of what you'll do
  • Provide support to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) Central Seattle office.
  • Perform clerical activities: greeting visitors, managing digital files, data entry, scheduling meetings, responding to emails, organizing publications, supporting vehicle and office committee management.
  • Accurately sort, copy, file, and upload documents, especially digitally, maintaining current customer files.
  • Operate office equipment: computers, printers, copiers, scanners, and use MS Outlook, MS Teams, and electronic case management systems.
  • Answer phones, follow guidelines, and refer visitors as needed.

SESG Program Eligibility
  • Have a developmental disability or a significant disability limiting functional capacities, with documentation required if selected for an interview.
  • Require supported employment training and ongoing support, providing long-term support to perform job duties.

Post-interview, you will need to provide a support plan outlining how support will be provided during employment. The plan remains on file for the duration of employment and is used for annual eligibility verification. If eligibility criteria are no longer met, employment will cease.
