Job Description

The Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Route Sales Representative for Pittsburgh, PA (and surrounding areas) sells premium meat snacks to retail grocery chains by performing the following duties:

  1. Travel assigned territory in company route van providing exceptional customer service and selling to key accounts.
  2. Fill orders by verifying warehouse pulls; loading truck.
  3. Deliver products to customers, process orders, unload, stock shelves, and rotate products.
  4. Operate a handheld device/printer to generate invoices and obtain customer signatures.
  5. Prepare end-of-day reports on business transactions and communicate unresolved issues to management.
  6. Maintain daily truck inventory, conduct monthly physical inventories, and report variations.
  7. Merchandise products by recommending and setting up displays; coordinate with Business Development Manager to grow regional sales.
  8. Handle damaged products by loading them and issuing credits.
  9. Complete reports by logging call results, maintaining records, and recording competitor actions.
  10. Ensure vehicle operation by following instructions, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and scheduling repairs.
