The Patch Boys are Hiring a Drywall Repair Technician!

The Patch Boys – Boise, ID
Full-Time | On-Site
Pay: $20–$30 per hour

The Opportunity

At The Patch Boys, we specialize in making damaged drywall look like it was never there. We are experiencing rapid growth throughout the Treasure Valley, with more service requests coming in than our current team can handle.

We are looking for an experienced Drywall Repair Technician who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, enjoys working independently, and prefers the variety of residential repair work over large, repetitive commercial projects.

You will be the face of our business in customers’ homes, completing high-quality drywall repairs and creating seamless finishes that blend into the existing wall or ceiling.

What Success Looks Like

You will travel to residential homes throughout the Treasure Valley, with occasional trips to neighboring areas such as Mountain Home. Your projects may range from small drywall damage to larger repairs resulting from water damage.

Success in this role means:

Flawless Texture Matching: Match existing wall and ceiling textures, including orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, smooth finishes, and other applications.

High-Quality Repairs: Complete drywall patches and repairs so the finished area blends seamlessly with the surrounding surface.

Excellent Customer Service: Treat homeowners and their properties with respect, communicate clearly about the work being completed, and leave each workspace clean.

Efficiency and Independence: Manage your daily schedule effectively, complete repairs within expected timeframes, and work with minimal supervision.

Professionalism: Represent The Patch Boys professionally while working directly with homeowners.

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

5–10 years of professional drywall experience, with significant experience specifically involving drywall patching, repairs, and texture matching.

Demonstrated ability to match a variety of drywall textures.

Your own reliable vehicle capable of transporting at least a half-sheet (4' x 4') of drywall, along with your equipment.

Your own professional drywall hand tools required for standard patch and repair work.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

A professional demeanor when working inside customers’ homes.

A valid driver's license.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-Haves

Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:

Basic painting and color matching.

Residential remodeling or home services.

Compensation

$20–$30 per hour

Candidates will complete a texture-matching test, and compensation will be determined based on demonstrated texture-matching ability and experience.

What We Offer

Steady, Consistent Work: Our continued growth provides a strong pipeline of residential repair projects.

Independence: Work independently in the field and manage projects from start to finish.

Local Focus: Most projects are located throughout the Treasure Valley, with occasional travel to nearby areas such as Mountain Home.

Variety: Work on different residential repair projects rather than repetitive large-scale construction.

If you are an experienced drywall professional who takes pride in seamless repairs, precise texture matching, and providing excellent service to homeowners, we would love to hear from you.
