Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with drywall/framing preferred.
• Experience in estimating, project management, field supervision, or a combination thereof.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and specification documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal framing, insulation, ceilings, shaft wall, and related interior scopes.
• Review drawings, specs, addenda, and project requirements to identify scope gaps, risks, and constructability issues.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor material pricing and labor/manpower tracking.
• Develop budgets, proposals, scope letters, and change order pricing.
• Manage drywall/framing scopes from contract award through completion.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades.
• Manage project costs, procurement, schedules, changes, and forecasting.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and field conditions.
• Monitor production, manpower, material usage, quality, and schedule performance.
• Identify cost and schedule issues early and develop solutions.
• Participate in buyout, scope reviews, preconstruction meetings, and project closeout.

We are currently seeking a Drywall Project Manager/Estimator to join our family in the Dallas, TX office. This position will estimate drywall and framing scopes while managing awarded work from preconstruction through project completion. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of commercial drywall, metal framing, and interior construction and can effectively manage both the financial and field execution of their work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal framing, insulation, ceilings, shaft wall, and related interior scopes.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and project requirements to identify scope gaps, risks, and constructability issues.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor material pricing and labor/manpower tracker.
• Develop budgets, proposals, scope letters, and change order pricing.
• Manage drywall/framing scopes from contract award through completion.
• Coordinate with BCT Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades.
• Manage project costs, procurement, schedules, changes, and forecasting.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and field conditions.
• Monitor production, manpower, material usage, quality, and schedule performance.
• Identify potential cost and schedule issues early and develop solutions.
• Participate in project buyout, scope reviews, preconstruction meetings, and project closeout.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with drywall foreman, suppliers and internal BCT team.
• Support Batson Cook’s safety, quality, and project management standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with significant drywall/framing experience.
• Experience in estimating, project management, field supervision, or a combination thereof.
• Strong understanding of drywall and metal framing means and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and specification documents.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, labor productivity, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Experience with change orders, subcontractor management, cost tracking, and forecasting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction estimating/project management software.
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
