Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Carpenter for commercial construction work. The role involves drywall framing, hanging, and finishing per sketches, blueprints, and layouts.

You will layout and install wood and metal stud framing, drywall, and related materials, with emphasis on safety and precision. Candidates should have experience reading drawings and using layout tools; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Formación

• 3 years commercial construction carpenter experience preferred.
• Able to work at elevated heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with drywall, wood and metal stud framing and finishing.
• Able to read construction drawings, layouts, and measurements.
• Able to read a tape measure and use basic layout tools.
• Reliable transportation due to jobsite access via secured gates.

Responsabilidades

• Perform commercial carpentry work including drywall framing, hanging, and finishing.
• Layout, measure, cut, and install wood and metal stud framing for walls, ceilings, soffits, and partitions.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall and related materials.
• Install backing, wood blocking, and other framing materials as required.
• Tape and finish drywall – sand and prepare finished surfaces.
• Adhere to safety protocols and work in a drug-free environment.
• Safely use standard carpenter hand tools and power tools.
• May work at elevated heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
• Perform additional carpenter-related duties as assigned.

Jobsite Requirement – Must be a U.S. Citizen by Birth or Naturalization

Perform commercial carpentry work involving drywall framing, hanging, and finishing according to sketches, blueprints, layouts, specifications, or oral instructions.

• Layout, measure, cut, and install wood and metal stud framing for walls, ceilings, soffits, and partitions.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall and related materials.
• Install backing, wood blocking, and other framing materials as required.
• Tape and finish drywall – sand and prepare finished drywall surfaces
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and work in a drug-free environment.
• Must be able to safely use standard carpenter hand tools and power tools.
• May be required to work at elevated heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
• Perform additional carpenter-related duties as assigned.

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

• 3 years Commercial Construction Carpenter experience preferred. Experience with vertical and horizontal concrete forms, and gang forms preferred
• Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work in outside all weather conditions
• Commercial Construction Carpenter experience with drywall, wood and metal stud framing, and finishing required.
• Experience with wood and metal stud layout, framing, handing, and finishing drywall required.
• Must be able to read construction drawings, layouts, and measurements.
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and use basic layout tools.
• Must be able to frequently lift construction materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation required due to jobsite access through secured gates.
