Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie is actively seeking a Carpenter for site-based work in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities include building rough wooden structures such as concrete forms and temporary shelters, following sketches or blueprints, and maintaining safety on site.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of commercial construction carpenter experience, with preference for experience in vertical/horizontal concrete forms and gang forms, and the ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs in

Responsibilities

• Must be able to provide own tools listed (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch).
• May be required to work in outside weather conditions.

Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a Carpenter. Below are the main responsibilities for this position.

(This description may not include all duties required of this position)

• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
• Must be able to provide own tools including, but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch.
• May be required to work in outside all weather conditions

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

• 3 years Commercial Construction Carpenter experience preferred. Experience with vertical and horizontal concrete forms, and gang forms preferred
• Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work in outside all weather conditions
