Job summary

PEC Interiors is seeking a seasoned Foreman to lead interior framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, FRP, and finish carpentry on commercial projects. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time production in the field.

Responsibilities include supervising crews and subs, reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining daily progress reports to support timely decisions. Travel to projects and pre-employment drug screening apply.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in commercial metal stud framing and drywall.
  • 3+ years as a foreman leading commercial crews.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and pass background check.

  • Own daily planning, production tracking, and schedule adherence.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & Coordination
  • Supervise crews and subcontractors; assign tasks aligned to goals.
  • Develop team skills via training, coaching, and accountability.
  • Align manpower and equipment with the project plan.
Safety
  • Implement PEC safety policies and OSHA standards every day.
  • Lead toolbox talks; correct unsafe acts/conditions immediately.
  • Verify proper PPE and safe operation of lifts, ladders, scaffolds, and powder-actuated tools.
Installations & Field Production
  • Interpret drawings, specs, and schedules to sequence work.
  • Execute and oversee installation of:
  • Metal stud framing
  • Drywall systems and finishing
  • Acoustical ceilings
  • FRP panels
  • Finish carpentry as needed
  • Specialty ceiling systems
  • Coordinate with other trades to minimize conflicts and keep production steady.
  • Maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
Quality & Documentation
  • Inspect work daily for compliance with plans/specs and company standards.
  • Identify and correct deficiencies promptly.
  • Protect completed work from damage.
  • Complete accurate daily reports, with written and photographic records of progress, safety, delays, weather, and site issues.
  • Notify the Project Manager of scheduling risks, material shortages, change orders, and field conflicts.
Materials & Equipment
  • Schedule, receive, and verify material deliveries.
  • Ensure proper storage and protection of all materials.
  • Maintain company tools and equipment in safe working order.
Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years in commercial metal stud framing and drywall.
  • At least 3 years as a foreman leading commercial construction crews.
  • Expertise in:
  • Metal stud framing
  • Drywall hanging and finishing
  • Acoustical ceilings
  • FRP installation
  • Commercial construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving with sound decision-making.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities on fast-paced jobs.
  • Working knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Procore, PDF Expert, or similar tools preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to projects as needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Physical Expectations
  • Lift/carry up to 75 lbs frequently.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work overhead for long periods.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and stilts.
  • Operate powder-actuated tools, lasers, and related equipment safely.Perform both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather.
Preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Forklift, Scissor Lift, or Boom Lift certifications
  • Specialty ceiling systems experience
  • Track record supervising multiple crews on large commercial projects
