Job summary

United Drywall and Contracting is seeking motivated drywall punch technicians to inspect and finish drywall installations, ensuring high-quality results on diverse projects from commercial to residential remodels.

You will identify imperfections, smooth surfaces, apply joint compound and tape, and collaborate with carpenters and other trades to align with schematics. Knowledge of mold remediation and restoration is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior construction site experience with drywall installation or finishing.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and schematics for precise work.
• Hands-on plastering, taping, sanding, and painting abilities.
• Experience across multiple trades such as carpentry and masonry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect drywall installations to identify dents, gaps, or uneven surfaces.
• Smooth surfaces with hand tools and sanding equipment for finishing.
• Apply joint compound and tape seams for seamless walls.
• Repair water damage or mold-affected areas and restore them.
• Coordinate with carpenters, plasterers and trades to align with plans.
• Read blueprints to place panels, fixtures, and openings.
• Install trim, doors, fixtures and moldings as needed.
• Caulk windows, doors, and joints for airtight seals.
• Assist framing with metal studs or wood as required.
• Support restoration projects and return walls to optimal condition.
