Job Title: Drying Area Machine Operator

Location: Cape Town

Division / Department: Operations

Reports To: Production Manager

Overall Responsibility

The candidate will operate and maintain machinery, equipment, and processes to achieve optimal effectiveness in quality, efficiency, cost management, and safety.

Main Responsibilities

• Record waste and product movement accurately.
• Operate machines according to work instructions.
• Perform autonomous operations as defined.
• Assist maintenance with repairs.
• Identify and report defective machines.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Set up and calibrate machines.
• Adjust machine settings for desired outcomes.
• Feed raw materials into machines.
• Inspect parts with measuring tools.
• Test machine operation periodically.
• Report non-conformances promptly.
• Meet daily production targets.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Operate drying equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor outputs and record data.
• Troubleshoot issues during shifts.
• Participate in training for new equipment.
• Conduct temperature readings every 30 minutes.

Minimum Requirements
