Dryer Controls Machine Operator

Location: MARATHON, WI

Description:

This role involves operating and regulating pellet mill equipment and dryers to ensure optimal production quality and safety standards.

Job Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Shift: 3pm - 11pm
• Salary: $20 - $22 + $1.00 shift difference

Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust four pellet mills and regulate dryer inlet and outlet temperatures according to specifications.
• Monitor and maintain bin levels and regulate material mix to optimize pellet moisture and density, communicating ratios of sawdust and shavings.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, spot fires, and hot bearings.
• Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust or replace rolls/dies as needed.
• Complete daily reports on temperature, moisture, density, mill hours, gas usage, and tonnage estimates.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of industrial production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of production processes; process controls experience a plus.
• Ability to pass forklift certification.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs, stand for long periods, and climb ladders up to 60 feet safely.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic math skills.
