Job summary

Airgas in Cortez, CO is hiring a Plant Operator to safely load and package dry ice products, ensuring quality control and a clean, safe work environment. You will document production numbers and operate forklifts or pallet jacks as part of daily duties.

Required: 21+ years, HS diploma or GED, basic math, clear written and verbal communication. Preferred: 2+ years manufacturing experience. Comprehensive benefits start after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to communicate effectively written/verbal

Responsibilities

• Loading & packaging: daily loading, weighing, and packaging of dry ice products into various containers (blocks, pellets, slices) per customer orders.
• Quality assurance: inspect finished products for weight, density, packaging integrity.
• Equipment operation: operate production machinery and material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Documentation: log production numbers, shipping manifests, and inventory usage accurately.
