Job summary

Carbonic Millington in Millington, TN is seeking a dedicated production team member to load and package dry ice and operate a pallet jack/forklift as needed. You will follow safety and quality policies and assist with daily cleanup in a fast-paced environment.

High school or better is required; overtime may be required. This hourly, full-time role offers a hands-on position in a manufacturing setting with exposure to outdoor conditions and hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• One year of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to read and write.
• Able to understand and follow directions from supervisors.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; enter/exit forklift; slide 200 pound boxes.
• PPE required: hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves.
• Overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Load and package dry ice daily per quality standards.
• Operate pallet jack/forklift to move dry ice boxes.
• Adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Cleanup duties (sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal).

Description

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Load and package dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards.
• Operate a pallet jack/forklift on a daily basis to maneuver dry ice boxes to meet production needs.
• Comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Clean-up functions including, but not limited to, sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal and pick-up.

Qualifications:

• One (1) year previous work experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read and write.
• Able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors.
• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of time, bend, use hands and arms, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to enter and exit a forklift. Must be able to slide empty dry ice boxes weighing approximately 200 pounds. The employee also occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and hazardous materials and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Hazards require the use of personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and gloves.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
